North Peace Community Foundation Calls Out for Directors and Committee Members

North Peace Community Foundation is happy to announce we’re looking for new Board and committee members.

Our current board of directors will be selecting up to 3 director candidates for a 3-year term, and up to 7 committee candidates for either 2 or 3-year terms.

Who are we looking for?

The Foundation is seeking individuals who are knowledgeable about our mission and are willing to serve as advocates to the organization’s networks and circle of influence. We’re looking for collaborative leaders with a willingness to learn, who understand trust-based philanthropy and are committed to the principles of Truth & Reconciliation, advancing the sustainable development goals, and have strong understanding of the principles of ESG.

Specifically, North Peace Community Foundation is recruiting Directors for the board with diverse lived experiences who will bring at least one of the following:

  • Accounting and auditing experience

  • Institutional investment experience

  • Governance and legal experience in the charitable sector

Ideally, granting advisory committee members will bring his or her own diverse lived experience and at least one of the following:

  • Non-profit and charitable sector experience

  • Sound knowledge or willingness to work with the sector to learn about emerging and long-term community needs

  • Ability to consistently apply Foundation’s core principals to all granting activities that assist the Foundation with achieving our mission
