$25,000 To North Peace Community Foundation To Establish The Building a Better Tomorrow Fund by Peace River Hydro Partners

(Fort St. John, British Columbia) – Peace River Hydro Partners, through their employees outstanding commitment to recycling on-site and desire to see their efforts result in a community legacy, have generously gifted the North Peace Community Foundation $25,000 to establish a “Building a Better Tomorrow Fund”. This generous gift will be endowed to provide opportunities for charities and non-profit organizations throughout B.C.’s North Peace Region who are making a difference today and are committed to serving their communities in the future.

“The way that the employees of PRHP, through acts of individual generosity, not only demonstrates a personal commitment to our environment which shows that every effort matters, but these acts have accumulated to help inspire and create a new fund, which was thoughtfully crafted to ensure that no less than 50% of the grants made available through their fund, will be directed to indigenous-led or indigenous-focused programs and organizations,” says Lori Ackerman, current Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, adding “this is a very special gift for the North Peace Community Foundation.

“The North Peace Community Foundation is pleased that Peace River Hydro Partner’s employees share our vision of the North Peace Community Foundation creating opportunities that are for The Future of the People,” adds Ackerman.
