Peace River Hydro Partners, through their employees outstanding commitment to recycling on-site and desire to see their efforts result in a community legacy, have generously gifted the North Peace Community Foundation $25,000 to establish a “Building a Better Tomorrow Fund”. This generous gift will be endowed to provide opportunities for charities and non-profit organizations throughout B.C.’s North Peace Region who are making a difference today and are committed to serving their communities in the future.

PETRONAS Energy Canada Ltd. (PETRONAS Canada) has committed $500,000 over five years to the North Peace Community Foundation in support of the community through the creation of the PETRONAS Sustainable Communities Fund. This generous gift will be endowed to provide opportunities for charities and non-profit organizations throughout B.C.’s North Peace Region who are making a difference today and are committed to serving their communities in the future.

The North Peace Community Foundation (NPCF) was established in 2021 to bring together the financial resources of industry, business, families and individuals through grants created by endowed funds for projects and programs that focus on “For the Future of the People” of BC’s North Peace region. The North Peace Community Foundation is pleased to update the community on the significant start-up milestones achieved.

Following an exhaustive search, the inaugural Board of Directors for the North Peace Community Foundation has announced the hiring of Susan Adams as the Executive Director. Most recently, Susan was the Executive Director of the Downtown Vernon Association and brings a wealth of experience in economic development, community programming and communications.
