Strengthening Community Together: 2025 Grants in Aid Applications Now Open

The City of Fort St. John’s 2025 Grants-in-Aid program is now accepting applications and we are the North Peace Community Foundation are proud to once again administer this impactful initiative in partnership with the City. Generously funded through the City’s general taxation revenue, this program underscores Fort St. John’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a strong, inclusive, and vibrant community.

Investing in Local Impact!

The Grants-in-Aid program support community service organizations that enrich the lives of Fort St. John residents through cultural, social, heritage, economic, and recreational programs and facilities. From supporting vulnerable populations to preserving local heritage or promoting public programs that build community spirit, this initiative ensures that our city remains a place where everyone can thrive.

Who Is Eligible?

To be eligible for funding, an organization must:

  • Be a community service organization that contributes to the public good in Fort St. John

  • Provide services or facilities that support youth, seniors, or individuals with special needs

  • Own or lease developed property within city boundaries

  • Have a track record of previous Grant-in-Aid funding from the City of Fort St. John

  • Be in good standing with the Canadian Charities Directorate or BC Societies (for non-charities)

Eligible projects and services may include:

  • Facilities available for public use

  • Supportive housing for people with special needs

  • Heritage preservation initiatives

  • Projects that protect environmentally significant areas

  • Cultural or educational programming that fosters community spirit, diversity, or tolerance

  • Services provided in formal partnership with the City
